Enclosure in Doonally West stands near the summit of a prominent Galway hill, its forty-metre circle marked by a low scarp and a hidden fosse. Two causewayed gaps pierce the north and east, inviting entry into a space where pasture now swallows the memory of deliberate construction. The missing western ditch suggests either erosion or intentional design, leaving the enclosure half-revealed and quietly defiant against time.

This poorly preserved circular enclosure (diam. 40.3m) is defined by a low scarp and an external fosse; the latter is not visible from SW to W.
