Megalithic structure in Doolin

Doolin still hides a ghost of a court cairn, buried under grass or forgotten along the road southeast of Doolin House. Large boulders once clustered there like the ribs of some dead giant, perhaps marking a place where people gathered before written memory. They may have stood for centuries within the old field system, witness to rain, cattle, footpaths and festivals no longer named. Now the exact spot has slipped away, leaving only the shape of the story and the certainty that Doolin once held more than it admits.
