Seventeen hut sites surround the Lissachiggel ringfort, forming a dense neighbourhood rather than a lonely farmhouse. This particular hut is one of that cluster, suggesting a small community lived beside the defences instead of hiding behind them. The arrangement implies shared labour, mutual watchfulness and perhaps argument over firewood or butter. What is certain is company: Doolargel did not belong to a single isolated household but to a knot of neighbouring lives.
