What is recorded here

This togher (L 5.1m min.; Wth 1.4m; D 0.3m), orientated NW-SE, consisted of a dense layer of brushwood (diam. 0.02-0.05m) upon which two hurdle panels had been placed. It was radiocarbon dated to 1258-941 BC (2905±40 BP, GrN-16007) (Raftery 1990, 24-5; 1996, Derryoghil 30, 158-9). When inspected in 1999 (Dunne) it comprised a densely packed longitudinal brushwood platform (exposed L 1.6m; Wth 1.07m) with elements (diam. 0.015-0.06m) aligned ENE-WSW.
