What is recorded here

No visible building remains, only a rectangular shadow in the bog where smaller branches and twigs still lie aligned from west-northwest to east-southeast. The pattern suggests a made floor, not a random tangle, perhaps a crossing place or a base for something taller that rot has erased. Its exact purpose has gone, but the shape of the joint is still legible beneath the moss.

Longitudinal brushwood (diam. 0.05m max.) and twigs appeared to be orientated WNW-ESE. The material was closely set in the centre becoming less dense towards edges though this may have been due to milling. The evidence suggested that this was likely to have been the remains of a platform (exposed L 0.6m, Wth 0.9m).
