What is recorded here
Enclosure in Demesne is a hidden circular earthwork beside Longford town, large enough for a hall and a smaller chamber joined at its north edge. Grass and forgetting have smoothed the boundary, yet the shape still resists the flatness of the modern field. A ringfort and annexe may have stood there before memory faded, giving the land a heartbeat of rooms, thresholds and lived hours.
Situated in grassland on N side of Longford town. Cropmark of circular shaped earthwork (approx. diam. 36m) with possible circular-shaped annexe (approx. diam. 32m) attached to N side, could be the remains of a levelled conjoined ringfort or ringfort with annexe to N.
