In marshy ground. Area heavily overgrown; site not located. Shown on 1939 OS 6-inch map as semicircular mound. Recorded by Hartnett (1939, 133) as 'mound of blackened and charred stones'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
