On a rise in grassland. Marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1933) as a small circular mound (D c. 10m). Aerial reconnaissance in July 1970 (CUCAP BDN 81) revealed it as a small circular feature defined by double-faced stone wall: possibly a house. No visible surface trace survives. A ringfort (GA057-134----) lies c. 50m to SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
