O' Molloy castle in Cully, County Offaly, no longer shows a chamber or wall, but the absence is not empty because its armorial plaque left Ireland for America in the 1930s. The castle may have stood as a small defiant house, marked by lineage and local pride, before losing even that stone. What remains is a hole shaped like a coat of arms, carrying O' Molloy identity across the Atlantic while depriving Cully of the proof.
