What is recorded here
Under the Culliagh rath in County Mayo, a hidden passage waited for footsteps that never came. People built it deliberately, then blocked the entrance, perhaps to keep danger out or secret knowledge safe. The earth swallowed the marking and the tunnel vanished, leaving only a flat field and a warning not to dig where memory has already forgotten.
In a rath (MA073-027----). According to local information, there is a ‘cave’/Man-made underground passage in the interior of the rath. It was blocked up in the past and its exact location is now unknown.
