What is recorded here

Gorteenlahard in County Galway holds a children's burial ground where a cross-inscribed stone supposedly stands, yet no one can find it. The ground may have swallowed the marker or people may have moved it when fear or tenderness changed the shape of the place. What is certain is that children were laid to rest there, and what is lost is the visible proof that they were remembered.
