What is recorded here

At a T-junction, near Summerville Lake. Claffey (1983, 163) refers to 'a beehive cairn' which was destroyed by quarrying in the 1940s. He described it as 'a mosscovered monument, about one metre high, with an inscription, unrecorded, on a flat stone on top.' According to OS Letters (O' Flanagan 1927, Vol. 1, 235), the inscription commemorated 'Loughlin Kelly' and his wife, and was dated 1646.
