Castle stood in open Galway grassland in 1574, belonging to Tege Mc Wm OKelly. It has since disappeared entirely, leaving no visible trace for the eye or tongue to retrieve. Whatever life moved inside its walls has returned to soil, memory and story.

In grassland. In existence in 1574 when it was in the possession of 'Tege Mc Wm OKelly' (Nolan 1901b, 122). Claffey (1983, 159) noted that only traces of the foundations of one wall remained (L 12.2m). No visible surface trace survives.
