Fairy forts in Courtbrack are earthen rings, not fantasy. This one measured twenty-five metres across on the 1842 map, then farming eased it into the field edges. It still marks a line of four rings stretched across the townland, perhaps neighbours, perhaps a boundary made flesh. The fairies never appeared; the earth simply stopped being obvious.
