Cross stands west of the holy well dedicated to St Coleman in County Galway, marking the believed birthplace of the saint. Smashed by 1982, its base still bore the 1901 inscription when a new Celtic cross rose on the same stone by 1993. The place remembers that even broken markers return, shaping water and witness into one living prayer.

This cross is associated with a holy well (GA114-057003-) dedicated to St Coleman. It stands to its W of the well and it is believed to mark the spot where the saint was born (Long 1978, 12-13). On inspection in November 1982 the cross had been smashed but an inscription on its base indicated that it was erected in 1901.
