Pairc Ath Na hEorna marks a barley ford where grain crossed the River Martin in County Cork. A spirit called Cailin Ath Na hEorna was reputed to haunt the quiet roadway beyond the water in the mid 1800s. The name still smells of crushed straw and river mud, while the boy in the stories remains unchanged by time.
