Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Coolnagun is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Coolnagun, County Westmeath, Ireland. The site sits on the west end of a steep narrow east-west ridge, surrounded by low lying undulating land, with the ground immediately outside the fort tending to be waterlogged. An oval shaped area with a diameter of 41 metres is enclosed by a poorly preserved earthen bank, which has a trace of an external fosse visible at the east and west only. A possible causewayed entrance measuring 1.75 metres wide is located at the east, while a modern field fence encroaches on the south side of the site.
Situated on the W end of a steep narrow E-W ridge surrounded by relatively low lying very gentle undulating land of poor to good quality pasture. Land immediately outside fort tends to be waterlogged. Good views in all directions from centre of ringfort. Monument not indicated on 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map. An oval shaped area (diam. 41m) enclosed by a poorly preserved earthen bank with trace of an external fosse visible at E and W only, possible causewayed entrance (Wth 1.75m) at E. On the S side a modern field fence encroaches on the site. The interior is very uneven with disturbance caused by gravel quarrying at S.
