What is recorded here

Toberamaher is a holy well in Colman (cramptmore), County Tipperary, Ireland. The 2011 inventory recorded no visible surface trace at the southeast side of a road after local information said the well had been blocked for safety. It placed a small indentation in the roadside hedgerow around a grass margin, with a church 410 metres to the northeast.
At SE side of road. No visible surface trace. Small indentation in hedgerow field boundary encloses grass margin between it and road. According to local information, blocked up for safety. Church (TS070-086----) located 410m to NE. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
Linked to Saint Colman, Toberamaher is traditionally associated with the cure of cramp, reflected in its local name "cramptmore." Little specific folklore survives, but such wells were often sites of pilgrimage and healing rituals in early Christian Ireland.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
