What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history has thinned to myth. Its name points instead of claiming, as if the place refuses to be known or wants to be found. The soil may have held a farm, a feast or a forgotten life before it became a legend.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
