What is recorded here

Indicated is a subcircular crannog island, about twenty-eight metres across, sitting fifteen metres from the shore in Lough Gowna, County Cavan. It is so densely overgrown with vegetation that the boundary between made and natural has blurred into a single green mass. The closeness to land suggests people walked there often, perhaps to tend gardens, store tools, or simply watch the water move. What they left behind is no longer visible, but the island still holds the shape of human intention beneath its unchecked growth.
