What is recorded here

Cloonaghduff holds a smooth six-to-ten-metre hillock whose edges dissolve into ordinary pasture, joining two nearby rath mounds in a quiet line across the field. It may have been an enclosure, a boundary marker or merely a shape the land remembered from water and time. The absence of walls does not empty it; it invites people to imagine what lived there before evidence stopped surviving.

Located in an area of undulating pasture. Listed in the RMP (1997) as a possible enclosure based on a roughly circular feature visible on an aerial photograph (SMR file: GSI M 98 -9, Roll 213, pr. 27). At this location there is a small, roughly circular hillock, with a flattish top (diam. c. 6-10m) that merges imperceptibly with broadly sloping sides. There is no surface evidence of an enclosure.
