Grave Yd.

Graveyard

What is recorded here

Grave Yd. is a Kildare graveyard where a ruined medieval church still stands beside pasture. Its low stone wall and narrow western gateway mark a small rectangular field of forgotten lives. Eighteenth-century markers remain legible, but the church ruins suggest far older burials beneath the grass. The place keeps both recorded and lost time, waiting for someone to read what the stones still remember.
On level pasture and containing a ruined medieval church (KD010-009001-). A sub-rectangular area (dims. L c. 40m E-W; Wth c. 20m) is enclosed by a low, mortared stone wall and is entered through a narrow gateway at W. The earliest legible burial markers date to the 18th c.
