Moated site in Clonismullen is a moated site in Clonismullen, County Tipperary, Ireland. Aerial photographs taken in 1976 identified a rectangular enclosure on high ground with good views in all directions, but no surface remains of any enclosure were visible in the area marked on the Ordnance Survey map. The site may be the remains of a bawn associated with the castle located immediately to the north of the cropmark.
M. Moore aerial Photographs (ASIAP (45) 30-33 ) taken in 1976 identified rectangular enclosure site. No surface remains visible of any enclosure in area marked on OS 6-inch map. Situated atop high ground with good views in all directions, in grassland at time of visit. May be remains of a bawn associated with castle site (TN034-096) located immediately to N of cropmark. Modern sheds in Aerial photogrpah mark location of castle site. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
