What is recorded here
Half a kilometre from the last human voice, two stone chambers still touch back-to-back inside a living field bank. One tomb opens northeast, the other southwest, and both have lost enough structure to become a guess about the people who shaped them. The larger gallery narrows into darkness, divided by jambs into two smaller rooms, while its neighbour keeps only a few stones and the shadow of a shared end wall. Around them lies an eight-metre circle of broken cairn, old enough to have watched every border, farm and forgetting pass above it.
Situated towards the bottom of a W-facing slope. This is the remains of a back-to-back dual court-tomb, orientated approximately NE-SW, which is incorporated in a field bank. A single court stone and an entry jamb of the NE tomb survive. The gallery (L 5.5m; Wth 1.6m), narrowing towards the rear, is divided into two chambers by two jamb -stones. Two jamb-stones, a single side-stone, and the adjoining shared back stone are all that survive of the SW gallery. There are indeterminate remains of a cairn (diam. 8m). (de Valera 1960, 123)

Neolithic dual court-tomb, dating to approximately 3500–2500 BCE. Its back-to-back design and incorporation into a field bank highlight its significance as a rare and complex example of early megalithic funerary architecture in the region.
