Indicated occupies a narrow rectangular pasture 35m south of the Rathcannon boundary watercourse, marked by a scrub-covered bank and external fosse that still cut across the green field. It appeared on the 1840 map as an ordinary field, yet the 1897 survey captured its banked shape, suggesting human hands shaped the land before modern boundaries arrived. The site may date from after 1700, when local people divided pasture, drained wet ground or claimed a small working space beside the water. Whatever it was, the bank remains visible enough to argue against forgetting.

In pasture 35m S of a watercourse that marks the townland boundary with Rathcannon. Enclosure (LI039-070002-) lies to immediate SE. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a non-antiquity where it shown as a narrow rectangular-shaped field. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a rectangular-shaped area (dims. c. 55m N-S; 35m E-W) enclosed by a bank and external fosse from N-E-S, transected at W by field boundary running N-S. Possible monument visible as a rectangular-shaped field delimited by scrub-covered bank on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
