What is recorded here

One of six short cists (see also LH004-032002-, LH004-032005-, LH004-032006-, LH004-032007- and LH004-032008-) aligned NW-SE, found during excavations by E. E. Evans in Cairn A at Aghnaskeagh (see also LH004-032---- and LH004-032001-). These secondary burials, dating to the Bronze Age, were W and SW of the megalith. This cist was located immediately S of one of the other cists (LH004-032002-), and Evans suggested (CLAJ 1935, 246) that it might have been an annexe or overflow for that other cist. Neolithic cist tomb, dating to approximately 3000–2500 BCE, associated with a passage tomb complex. These cists are significant as part of a ritual landscape linked to early farming communities in the Boyne Valley.
