The church in Borrisnafarney is in County Tipperary, Ireland. It was listed in the 1302 ecclesiastical taxation of the Diocese of Killaloe, and a 1364 deed named the rectory of Burgagenefarne. A 1615 visitation found the place without a church or chancel. The nineteenth-century graveyard now occupies the site, remembered locally as St John's church, but no church remains are visible.

Situated on a W-facing slope of rising ground in a mountainous region with a nearby ringfort (TN028-021) to the E and a possible ringwork (TN022-058) to the NE. Stout assigns an early medieval date for the church based on the Calendar of Ormond deeds which refers to the 'rectory of the church of Burgagenefarne' in 1364 (Stout 1984, 100; COD, vol. 2, 84). The Royal Visitation of 1615 described the place as being without a church or chancel (Murphy 1914, 220). Listed in the ecclesiastical taxation of the Diocese of Killaloe in 1302 (CDI, vol. 5, 302). The present remains consist of a nineteenth-century graveyard (TN028-020002) enclosed by modern wall with no visible remains of the church site. According to the OS Letters the graveyard was known locally as St John's church (O'Flanagan 1930, vol. 2, 84). The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
