A church is indicated in this area on Taylor’s 1783 Map of County Kildare, but is not recorded on any edition of the OS maps. The 1st ed. (1838) of the OS 6-inch map does, however, show a graveyard (KD028-042001-). No visible surface trace of a church was found in the graveyard.
