Situated on flat poorly drained land with nearby River Small to the N. A natural hillock which has been scarped and flattened on top (top diam. 7m N-S; base diam. 20m approx.; H 2m) to form a mound barrow. Mound barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. It represents a modified natural feature used for burial or ceremonial purposes, typical of early mound-building traditions in Ireland.
