What is recorded here

Enclosure in Castletogher is a circular earthwork about forty-five metres across on a grassy rise overlooking eastern bogland in County Galway. A road and field wall have cut through most of its boundary, leaving only a scarp from northeast through east to southwest as proof that people once drew a line around this place. The nearby castle to the north suggests the enclosure belonged to someone who wanted to be seen, remembered, or protected long before the road erased the rest.

On a rise in undulating grassland overlooking bogland to E. An originally circular enclosure (D c. 45m) defined by a scarp from NE through E to SW. No visible surface trace of the enclosing element survives elsewhere as it is cut by a road from SW to NW, and by a field wall at NW and NE. A castle (GA066-042----) lies to N.
