Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Carrownalassan is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrownalassan, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a subcircular grass-covered area measuring 29.7m E-W and 25.6m N-S on a shelf of a S and SW-facing slope. A broad fosse defines the perimeter, while slight traces of an inner bank appear ENE-ESE and traces of an outer bank appear N-ENE. A 3.8m-wide entrance causeway breaks the circuit at ESE.
On a shelf on a S and SW-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 29.7m E-W; 25.6m N-S) defined by a fosse (Wth of top 6.4-7.4m; int. D 0.4-0.8m; ext. D 0.5m), with slight traces of an inner bank (Wth c. 5m; int. H 0.05m) ENE-ESE, and traces of an outer bank (Wth 4.8m; ext. H 0.1m) N-ENE. The entrance causeway (Wth 3.8m) is at ESE.
