Man-made underground passage in Carrowliam More

Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

Carrowliam More hides a man-made passage beneath its rath, though no entrance or marker remains visible at ground level. Local tradition insists the cave still exists, waiting beneath the grass and memory of County Mayo. The absence of proof does not diminish the claim; it deepens the mystery of what human hands built and then surrendered to the earth.
