Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrigeens,meehaun, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a subcircular grass-covered area measuring 48.3 metres WNW-ESE and 42.3 metres NNE-SSW within an undulating landscape. A scrub-covered earthen bank defines the perimeter, incorporates into a field bank surmounted by a wall along the south, west and north-northeast, and shows slight traces of an outer fosse to the north-northeast and east-southeast. The west and north perimeter forms the townland boundary with Carigeens, while the possible entrance at the south-southeast may be modern.
In an undulating landscape. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 48.3m WNW-ESE; 42.3m NNE-SSW) defined by a scrub-covered but poached earthen bank (at ESE: Wth 6.6m; int. H 0.65m; ext. H 1.45m), which is incorporated into a field bank surmounted by a field wall S-W-NNE, and slight traces of an outer fosse (Wth of top 5.2m; Wth of base 1.9m; D 0.25m) NNE-ESE. The entrance at SSE may be modern, and the perimeter W-N is the townland boundary with Carigeens.
