What is recorded here

Cairn is a small low mound in County Carlow, nearly swallowed by peat on a west-facing slope. It belongs to a large group of similar mounds, suggesting people marked that land repeatedly rather than building one lonely monument. The peat has done what forgetting does everywhere, hiding the shape until rain or curiosity exposes it again.

0n a small terrace on a W facing slope, a small low cairn (diam. c. 3.1m; H c. 0.4m) almost completely covered in peat.
