What is recorded here

Indicated is a ruined stone ringfort in County Mayo, Ireland, where a larger cashel forty metres east has been levelled into the earth. The remaining circular wall stands half a metre high around a raised pasture area, scarped on the west and quarried on the southeast. It is not a complete fortress but a broken measurement, marking the distance between what was built and what was erased.

In reclaimed pasture, on S-facing slope, part of complex (MA121-153----). Circular raised (H 1.5m) area (37m N-S; 39m E-W), enclosed by ruined stone wall (H 0.5m; Wth 2.5m) E to W. Site scarped on W and quarried on SE. A larger cashel (MA121-153002-) located c. 40m to E has been levelled. The above description has been derived from D.
