What is recorded here

Within the N sector of the interior of a cashel (CL016-094----). Described by Westropp (1905, 210) as an oval hut site ’12 feet long [3.6m ]’, which was built against the cashel wall and deeply buried in ‘moss and cranesbills’. No visible trace of it was noted on inspection in October 1998 but a circular area visible on current aerial imagery (Google Earth 25/04/2021) may mark its site.
