What is recorded here
An oval graveyard at Aghade, County Carlow holds a central church within its seventy-metre boundary. In 1949, sand-digging broke through soil to reveal at least eight extended burials facing north, stripped of goods or markers. Only one grave received formal excavation before the work stopped, leaving the full extent of this early Christian quietude hidden beneath the ordinary ground.
An oval graveyard (c. 70m NW-SE x c. 50m NE-SW) with a church (CW019-039001-) centrally located within it.
