No stone or mound remains in the bungalow garden at Breastagh, County Mayo, only a shallow dip where clay once sat between rocks. The absence is not empty; it is a invitation to imagine the burials, the hands that shaped the clay and the lives that turned the dip into a remembered tomb.

Located in the garden of a modern bungalow. Not indicated on the 1838 and 1922 OS 6-inch maps. This is said to be the site of a megalithic tomb, however, there is no substantiated description of the structure on record. According to local information, there was ‘a mound of clay between stones’ which was located in a shallow dip or hollow. No visible trace.
