Boardee still holds a standing stone, though reclamation knocked it from its upright post and left it lying near a field fence. The stone measures 1.8m x 0.6m x 0.6m, large enough to mark a boundary, a meeting place or a warning, yet local information offers no clearer purpose. It may have watched people pass for centuries before becoming ordinary under a plough.

According to local information, stone (1.8m x 0.6m x 0.6m) removed during reclamation, now lies near field fence (CO098-087----). (pers. comm.
