Boardee holds a standing stone in County Cork. The stone is real, but the available facts do not say when it stood up, who placed it, or what it marked. A person may have set it as a boundary, a memorial, a meeting place or a warning. The missing story does not weaken the stone; it keeps the place alive because witness, memory and imagination must still come forward to complete it.
