What is recorded here
Enclosure in Blackditch, County Kildare, Ireland, is a vanished circular area, perhaps a ringfort, now invisible beneath improved pasture. The 1838 map still shows it as a raised ring, but no human eye can find it today. Whatever life moved inside that circle has dissolved into grass and silence.
Shown on the 1st ed. (1838) of the OS 6-inch map as an apparently raised, circular area (est. diam. c. 40m), possibly a ringfort. In an area of gently undulating improved pasture. No visible surface trace.
