What is recorded here

Six metres of oyster and periwinkle shell lie exposed in a graveyard path beside Drumcreehy church, marking a kitchen waste pile from before the stones above it. Three undressed blocks at the north end suggest a wall stood there, perhaps belonging to a house where people ate, argued and loved while the church watched. The midden does not name them, but it keeps their discarded meals visible, turning ordinary hunger into a gift for later curiosity.

Exposed in the section of a path passing NNE–SSW through a graveyard (CL002-014001-) just W of the W gable of Drumcreehy church (CL002-014002-). An exposed midden section (L 6m; H 0.8m) comprising a light concentration of oyster and periwinkle shell. A possible wall-footing consisting of 3 courses of undressed blocks (H 0.5m; Wth 0.6m) with no obvious mortar present occurs at its N end.
