Barryshall holds a true ringfort, not a fairy tale. Earthen banks rise 2.3 metres around a circular pasture, with stone facing in places and a narrow break to the east where people likely entered. The facts stop there, but the shape suggests lives: firelight, work, children running past stones, and dogs answering calls. What is missing is not emptiness; it is the part people stopped repeating.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Circular area (33m N-S; 36m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.3m), stone faced in parts; external fosse (D 0.6m) SSE->SSW. Break in bank to ESE (Wth 2m).
