In reclaimed pasture N of a watercourse and 250m W of the Morningstar River. One of 11 possible barrows (LI040-100002/012-) located within an area measuring 300m E-W x 200m N-S. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a barrow on examination of Bord Gáis Éireann aerial photograph (BGE 2562; Site No. 186) taken 03/11/1984. Cropmark of circular feature visible on Google Earth orthoimages.

A Bronze Age barrow; part of a small barrow group, indicating a possible ritual or burial landscape. Its absence from historic maps suggests recent discovery and limited prior documentation.
