Barrow is a stepped burial mound on a low hillock in County Cavan, where distinct terraces rise above improved pasture instead of forming one smooth dome. Its outer platform spans about forty metres, while a smaller open ring sits inside the southern part. The mound uses the natural slope of the hill, tilts gently northward, and remains so at home in the landscape that aerial photography helped bring it back into notice.

Sited on the W shoulder of a prominent drumlin hill. Raised circular area (int. diam. 18m) enclosed by a low earthen bank. Break in bank at ENE probably represents original entrance.
