In reclaimed pasture, 160m E of a stream that marks the townland boundary with Curraghturk. Possible barrow (LI049-192001-) lies 20m to the NW. Not depicted on historic OSi maps. Identified as a possible ring-barrow on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000; 2610, No. 225) taken 03/11/1984. No surface remains visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 or on Google Earth orthoimages. See attached BGE aerial photographs and Google Earth orthoimages. A possible ring-barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its presence suggests prehistoric funerary activity in the area, though its classification and wider significance remain tentative.
