On a NW-facing slope, in rough, wet pasture, 100m NE of a townland boundary with Knocknacrohy. Within a complex of five barrows (LI024-041/243/246/342/341----). Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a small, circular-shaped cropmark by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 68: AP 4/3681). Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2008 and described as a low profile circular-shaped area (4.2m N-S; 4m E-W) defined by a scarp (Wth 0.6-0.75m; H 0.05-0.08m) and a fosse (Wth 2.2-2.55m; D 0.02-0.2m). An outer bank (Wth 2.95-3.55m; int. H 0.02-0.2m; ext. H 0.05-0.4m) is truncated from N-NE by a linear earthen bank running (L 28m) NW-SE. The interior is generally level. A poorly drained, sunken area abutting the exterior at SW is choked with rushes and appears to contain a spring which drains to W. The remains of a bank running WNW-ESE are situated to SW. Monument is visible as a subcircular-shaped cropmark on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-201, and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018.
See attached aerial photo labelled Bruff 68 and sketch profile drawn by the ASI in 2008 and Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018.

A ring-barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age, associated with a burial complex; its inclusion in a group of five barrows suggests a significant ceremonial or funerary landscape.
