The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Situated on summit of Mt Oriel, to NW of LH020-005002- and LH020-005003-. Level, circular platform (diam. 11m, H 0.6m) enclosed by a fosse (Wth 1.7-2m, D 0.1m externally). No trace of external bank. Slight depression in surface of platform would appear to be due to modern tree-root disturbance.

Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its presence indicates early burial practices and landscape use in the Collon area.
