Gateway, extant 1903, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of cast-iron "bird cage" piers supporting "Fleur-de-Lys"-detailed cast-iron double gates with cut-granite monolithic outer piers having domed capping supporting "Fleur-de-Lys"-detailed cast-iron railings. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Barntown Castle.
