What is recorded here
Fairy forts are not fairy at all. They are human, ancient, practical and often beautiful. The trick is stopping inventing and paying attention.
On a gentle S-facing slope in pasture. A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded a raised circular area (diam. c. 30m) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone with a shallow external fosse. The original entrance was not recognisable. The rath has been partially levelled due to road-widening and land reclamation.
